A group of us, including 3 adult survivors of child sexual abuse at the hands of a former teacher, have formed to stop this self-admitted (in a police report) child sexual abuser, from being anonymous in his community, especially as a teacher. Statutes of limitations have run out so charges and convictions are not possible. Does anyone have information on civil suits in these situations and whether or not they are effective? Are there lawyers out there who do this work pro bono? Are there organizations that could help us figure this out? Our goal is the prevention of future child sexual abuse by this man.
